The End Will Show Us How

Napalm Records

Out on January 10

Winter. Ugh. It’s cold. It’s dark. It’s, like, a million days until the end of January, let alone Spring. Hands up who really doesn’t want to get out of bed. Mark Tremonti’s hands, however, are most probably wrapped around a guitar as we speak. ‘The End Will Show Us How’ is his band’s sixth studio release – which takes his tally of albums with Tremonti and other stellar projects to just shy of twenty. Sixth???? Twenty!!!! TRE MUTHAFKN MONTI!!! This new album is EVERYTHING. And it’s gonna light such a fire under you, you’ll get out of bed, into a better headspace and be hyper-focused on hitting life targets by the time these 12 astonishingly good tracks are done. Sonically ‘The End Will Show Us How’ is gonna bring solace, fill souls and bang heads into the summer. Of 3025. Lyrically it is a cuddle, confession, and a kick to get going and keep on keepin’ on. Few do anthemic as well as Tremonti. Title track ‘The End Will Show Us How’ is one of his finest examples. ‘Tomorrow We Will Fail’ is a relentless heavy rock rallying cry to get sh*t done. Darker, doomy ‘Nails’ is an unsettling knife twist of chilling guitars and snarling vocals straight into the gut. LOVE IT. The warm musical embrace of ‘It’s Not Over’s’ uplifting melodies and lush almost orchestral instrumentals soothes Mark’s open and vulnerable vocals. Electro-led closing track  ‘All The Wicked Things’ shapeshifts into a crashing rockfall of sludgy grooves and urgent guitar solos. Mark Tremonti is a master musician and a craftsman songwriter. ‘The End Will Show Us How’ is his best, most complete creation yet.
